Ebay double charged me when paying with Paypal
I recently placed an order, with the price around the 100s of dollars. I chose to pay with debt, but eBay glitched and said it could not use that payment method. I then chose Paypal and the transaction completed. There is a PayPal charge on my account tying into the transaction. There is also now a second charge for the exact same amount called "PURCHASE 2535 North First San Jose" which is Ebay's HQ. I don't see how this makes sense and I would like that second charge to be withdrawn. There is no evidence to indicate that the charge will disappear.

·9 months agoWas the payment using PayPal using a credit or debit card tied to your PayPal account? If so, it's normal that on your PayPal account, you'll see the charge notated, and then on that card, you'll see a charge notated for the same amount, because it's records in two different places.
It's also possible one is simply an authorization, which will disappear on its own, and the other is the actual charge.
If you're not sure, PayPal who would be who you should reach out to, since only they can see the actual charges on your PayPal account.
