Does eBay process payments faster if a cancellation request is opened?
Typically eBay processes payments in 24 hours, however I didn't know that they process same day if a cancellation request has been opened making it easier to process cancellations without having to come out of pocket for it.
I'm pretty sure I've always come out of pocket when someone opened a fast cancellation request and then just waited for payment to complete processing then reimburse me.

·1 year agoGiving a refund to a buyer when a buyer paid will be taken out in seconds of 'Available Funds' of the seller...while 'processing of buyer payment' might still be processing.
Best not to refund someone who wants to cancel a transaction immediately.
I suggest waiting for buyer's funds to clear so seller doesn't get into a negative of 'available funds'....especially if seller doesn't sell a lot.
I have done combine selling refunds and have had a negative balance for a few days...but I am selling every day so it does eventually turn to positive in 'available funds.
eBay can request payment first from debit card of checking account.
I believe it is 4 days if negative hasn't turn into positive in 'available funds' it will be taken out of your checking account and you have no say in that.

OP1 year agoThat's what I've known before.
However, my recent cancellation request caused payment to be processed immediately.
I was able to process a cancelled order within hours from the completed funds.

·1 year agoNo, a cancellation doesn't make the payment process any faster.
I had 1 cancellation where I had to cover the refund, then the rest, they covered it until the payment was processed.
