Disgusted with Ebay...
Sold item on Ebay, customer received item.. E.bay holding my payout for 3 weeks, to see if customer is happy with product.. Really... E.bay needs to train their agents with respect and know their own policies.. Been with Ebay for 25 years, and have a perfect score... Think I am going to leave them, as I do this just as hobby. Ebay.... Be. nice to customers, because without them you don't have a business..

Exactly. Ebay is bieng nice to to customers (buyers) by insuring you have the funds available in case of a return from an unhappy customer..............................

·8 months agoMost people I personally know use ebay just for marketing and exposure and move sales off platform to dodge their **bleep** policies whenever possible. I'm not saying what they do is right....but I understand.

·8 months agoYes it is. I can't tell you how much sleep I lose thinking about my friends and the policy violations they commit. It's really taken a toll on our friendship

Don't leave.

·8 months agoOver all these years you've sold about 1.5 items per year, that last item being a $16 phone case. Do you expect a VIP badge? Everyone else goes by these rules. Other sites have these rules too.

·8 months agoRandom thought... you have sold since onboarding to Managed Payments, correct? 🤞

·8 months agoSounds like you have not kept up with ebay policy updates.
Payment holds are a part of ebay policy.

·8 months agoThey must have some secret way to choose what accounts they hold. I had not sold for several months and they did not do that to me this time.

It seems like the buyers also have a little bit to do with it also.

A payment processor holding a client’s funds due to trust and safety concerns is not in any sense of the word “fraudâ€.

·8 months agoIf it wasn't for the buyers, they wouldn't need sellers.
They can afford to get rid of a few sellers.

·8 months agoAll new and infrequent sellers are subject to payment holds, and large sales or one outside of your normal selling patterns will trigger holds as well.
This page has details of the types of holds that may apply, and a link to check on the status of your current payment holds: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816#section3

·8 months agoEbay and all of the other online marketplaces and payment services have increased their trust and safety requirements. This is because of increased fraud.
As an infrequent seller, you have been affected.
There was nothing that Ebay customer service reps could do for you about the holds, and they are not trained in psychological counseling.
With slightly over 40 sales since 2000 on your account a hold on a rare sale by you should have been expected.
