Delayed deposits now that ebay wants extra money to promptly pay sellers.
Has anyone noticed how slowly ebay has become when depositing seller funds now that they've started to campaign for us to pay them extra to expidite them? Good thing I'm not in a major hurry but for some it must be incredibly inconvenient. Just wondering if anyone else has seen the difference.

Don't ever pay money to access your money, whether it's an express payment or an ATM.... unless it's an extreme emergency.

·1 month agoYes for the last 2 weeks. I get a message there was a “failure” to deposit funds (I have express payout set up). Then 24 hrs later a prompt to request funds, and if it even works, still get a $2 fee. Super bad business on eBay’s part. Not to mention, they’re making interest everyday that they keep your money instead of paying per agreed terms and fees.

OP1 month agoNo problem with fees for immediate payment but now they're not honoring the schedule they've had set up since leaving paypal. If you're signed up for daily, weekly, etc., the payment's now being delayed by twice that time. In fact, they're making it available if you want to spend on ebay but if you're not spending on the site, it's taking twice the time to send in bank deposits. And please, ebay already nickles and dimes their smaller sellers. It's appears they want to force everyone to pay an extra fee if they want their usual schedule honored. I don't pay for immediate payment and have no intentions to but expect everyone to honor the terms that are stated whether it's seller, buyer or ebay. In any case, was just curious to know if others noticed but after reading plenty of other posts, they have.

·1 month agoFrom my experience ebay did change the time that the auto payments go out. Overall, no big deal as all I have to do it manually get a standard payout. Money gets to my bank account at the same time as the auto payments used to.
One of these weeks I will just wait a few more hours to see if the auto payment kicks in.
There is absolutely no need to pay the expedited fee.

OP1 month agoAgreed, no need to pay them for your payments. I've already waited for quite a few deposits as I haven't felt the need to request it. It's good to know that sellers also have that option if they need it sooner.

·Jul 16, 2026 at 10:19 AMAs a follow up on this thread, this past week I did wait a while to see if my auto payment came through. And indeed it did . It was back to the original time of payment at 0718 CDT.
So I am unsure if there was a glitch or not. Either way I have been receiving my payments like always whether auto payments or standard requests without any fees.
As a side note, it has always been 24 hours after the ebay disbursement before the funds are in my bank account.
