CBE is at it again

I've been receiving phone texts (no emails) from CBE stating they want to collect a debt on my ebay balance. I have no ebay balance. I barely use ebay, just bought a couple of Funko Pops this year. I checked my credit report and it is stellar. I have received no correspondence from ebay. This is fraud. I feel this is someone impersonating CBE but it's infuriating and needs to stop.

Collection agencies are required by law to provide documented proof of any alleged debts.
This documentation must be mailed (not texted, and not emailed) to the individual named as the debtor.
If you feel that you are being wrongfully accused by this agency, contact the Attorney General for your state, with copies of the communications between the agency and you.

I had to google it. There's a 'CBE Group, Inc.' that is a third party debt collector. I only guessed that's who the OP meant.

Oh... and AI told me this: "There is no publicly available evidence that eBay uses The CBE Group, Ltd. or any other private collection agency to collect debts from its users. eBay’s own community discussions and official channels do not list CBE Group as a collector for eBay accounts"
^^ That was why I didn't assume it had anything to do with eBay. 😐

I feel that it's a scam, too. I can't address how to find out who/where your scammers are, though. Ignore and good luck.
Afterthought: Can you block the number for receiving texts? If so, do that.
