Card was charged, but order did not go through
Summary: vexpo_25 started a discussion about being charged twice, each time $39.99, without having the order shown in their purchase history. mtgraves7984 responded, suggesting that the issue might be related to card authorization and asked whether the purchase might have been made as a guest. They also provided a link to eBay's help page for guest purchases to assist with resolving the issue.
Greetings to any of you reading this forum. Today, I was looking to purchase a left AirPod as I had lost mine. I went on a listing, put my card details in, and pressed purchase. However, my card was denied at first, so I assumed it was a bug and pressed again. However, this ended up charging me a price of 39.99 TWICE, and I ended without even having an order in my purchase history.
I dont know why its done this, nor do I know what to do. I’ve emailed eBay, but I’m not sure if that’ll do anything. If any of you have anything that can help, please leave a message 🙏
thank you

I think @tobaccocardyahoo is correct with your card's authorization. Regarding having an order in your Purchase History, do you think you possibly purchased as a Guest?

·4 months agoYou may or may not have been charged.
If you are viewing your credit card account online, this may be authorization holds which will fall away in a few days if the charge is not complete.
You might get clarification if you call the number on the back of your credit card and ask about the status of the charges.
