Can't get paid even though I have shipped my items to customers.
If I had ANY other choice than Ebay, I would go there. Seriously.
I had been set up under the new ebay payments system and had been receiving payments into my bank account. I don't sell tons of stuff. Mostly yard sale off hobby items I buy and decide I don't want. Out of NOWHERE I get notice after I have created 12 new auctions for things that I need to "update my eBay payment account". So I go in and try to do that. It's the exact same account it has ALWAYS been. That they paid my auctions 2 months ago to. But now my credit union isn't in the little pull down list. So I have to do the micro deposit verification method. Well its 4 days later and no microdeposit. Meanwhile my stuff has sold and shipped but ebay is STILL sitting on my money. I called and they said "just be patient". What is funny is Ebay is BILLING the exact same checking account for the **bleep** ebay fees. and they don't seem to "just be patient". Apparently my account is verified enough to charge me but not pay me. Is there anybody who can or any way to hold this badly mismanaged company responsible for its shoddy business practices? I want the old paypal days. When my money was there the day my item sold. Even if I paid higher fees. it worked. Unlike this crappy mess. #SUPERFRUSTRATED

·2 years agoIf you haven't sold anything in a month or so....usually takes 30 days to start to receive funds again. We all went through this. Better to sell inexpensive items every month to keep the flow of funds coming in.
As far as the micro deposit....I heard about it but I didn't go through that. Never really got any "my funds are now available". I just keep checking every day and it just appeared without any notification.

·2 years agoThey don't bill. They take their fee from the buyer's payment, not from your account. They put the balance in your account.
If you are an infrequent seller your funds will be held.
Also the new INFORM Cousumers Act that went into effect in June might apply to you, whereby it requires eBay to confirm your information even if it was confirmed last year.

·2 years agoThat "crappy mess" is called "Manged Payments".
That's where eBay took every cent we were paying PayPal, happily stuffed it into their eBay/Ayden bank account, and then gave us a "crappier" service. Where we wait 2-4 days to get a payout.
eBay didn't offer "instant payments" like Paypal because why should they? They make just as much $$ off a transaction as PP, but offer less services for it.
We were forced into MP's. Given a choice many sellers would have remained with PP.
And eBay knew it.
And since when has eBay ever worried about offering better service to their sellers?
Unless there's cash to be had.
So imagine our "amazement" when eBay rolled out their MP Instant Payments!!
For another 1.9% of your money eBay generously will send your money the same day!!
Just like PayPay did. Without the charge.
But your point that eBay has no problem TAKING money out of your account but has problems paying INTO it did make me laugh.
That's so "ebay".🤣
Hang in there. You'll get your money. eBay doesn't outright "steal" money. They just nickle& dime you to death in fees.

OP2 years agoI really wish the fricking government would break up these big tech companies and give us more choice. Its the modern day version of standard oil. No competition and crappy service.

·2 years agoThere are many choices to sell you items.
A bunch of ebay "type" platforms for selling....
a myriad of auction houses (that don't nickel and dime you to death, they dollar you to death)...
The option of your own personal website...
