BEWARE!!! Sellers, payout change issues
Beware, EBay has a new Sellers pay out policy. I have been an ebay account for over 10 years. I have purchased, more than I've sold, but recieved account credit before to use toward future purchases. I recently sold an item and have a payout balance on my account, but EBay refuses to give me my funds if I do not give them a routing number and checking account or debit card linked to my checking account for them to deposit my funds into. This is crazy, I do selling with many other operations like eBay and this is not how it works. EBay could have eliminated this issue, if only they would have forced this information before you could sell on their site and this would have surely forced me and others to sell elsewhere. It is going to be interesting, what they do with my funds due me and many others!!! I will surely be watching and keep you all updated. Please reply, if you can advise

·3 years agoIf you want to continue selling here, you MUST comply and provide ebay what they want. Also you need to give them the social security number. This is a requirement on ALL online selling sites. Congress passed this law during the prior administration and every US seller has to provide this number. No one here wants to hear that you think it's NOT safe. Virtually everyone here is also an Ebay seller with another ID (or two). Comply. Otherwise be ready to claim your funds in about a year from your State government. Ebay, by law, must forward all unclaimed funds to the sellers" home state.

·3 years agoLooks like you are only into eBay for less than $40. Better than $4,000.
I don't understand why eBay allows people to sell without having managed payments setup. Seems like a trap.

·3 years agoThis is sheer stupidity on ebay's part. Even new sellers are listing without having managed payments set up. Heads need to roll at Ebay headquarters for this dumb move. No one should be allowed to list w/o providing everything needed for managed payments. No one.

·3 years agoAdvice.....
Just like you did 'back in the day' you need to set up an account (like you did with Paypal) to receive your proceeds. It's pretty simple.
Find an online bank without any fees (I have seen many suggestions throughout this forum)....
open an account strictly for your ebay funds (don't intermingle your personal funds, it's easier)...
Submit your new account routing and checking account number....
viola! Funds are now yours
so you and 'many others' don't have to wait any longer...
ebay wants to send you your money...it is too much paperwork getting it to your state treasurer (and THAT will be more work for you getting it from the state than this setup will)

·3 years agoThis is not new and unless you give your information, you won't get payouts.
Since the money is yours but they have no bank to send it to, it'll eventually be turned over to your state's treasury department as unclaimed.

·3 years agoIts how it works on Ebay now. But agreed new or returning sellers should be informed of this before they list anything.Your funds will eventually go to your states unclaimed funds dept..actually MP is not new, its been in effect for about three years now.
