Anybody else ever have to reenter their credit card information into the "Add a payment method"?
I had to get a new credit card about a year and a half ago due to fraud. I got on ebay and added the new card information at that time as my preferred payment method. It was fine until just today, when I tried to make a purchase and nothing happened. The last time I made a purchase was just last week, with no issues.
Today, after attempting several times to pay, I got into my account, and there was no credit card on record for use for making payments! I was flabbergasted. With that, I used the Chat option to get help, and the guy who was helping me wrote that he had submitted a ticket to the IT people, and that I should reenter my CC info. I did that successfully, and then made my purchase without any problem.
I don't know if I will hear from the IT people in this regard, so I wanted to see if others have every had this glitch with their own account?

·3 years agoNo credit card on record? Then you add one. The same one if you want. No need to involve eBay.
But for once, which is a surprise because a lot of times they're not helpful, they told you to re-enter your card. Don't know why they need an IT ticket for that.

·3 years agoYou got caught up in another situation... not a glitch. eBay now requires some (lots of) buyers to enter payment information before bidding or offering on items. I don't know if you have to do this with every purchase, though, as it hasn't happened to me yet. Hang in there...
