A order was made with the buy now option when it was never supposed to of been. Can’t get refund

Buy now option was hit without knowledge of it and payment was made because it was on my account. It won’t let me cancel the order cause the seller y printed a label and the seller can’t cancel this as well cause it was a buy now option. Seller and buyer both want this order cancelled asap and the buyer refunded asap since this was done without the buyers consent

Did you leave your computer logged into eBay and another person made the purchase?  Other than that you must have clicked it.    You have cost the seller time and money.  Just accept your purchase. You can always resell it yourself on eBay if you no longer want it.   Click the log out button if your not planning to bid or purchase. That will prevent bids or purchases from being made.

The seller could cancel the order if they wanted to.

Doesn't matter how you bought it, BIN, auction or best offer, seller can cancel the order.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.104View listings

    @ha189645

What you found in this listing that YOU purchased is that in order for the seller to eliminate non-paying buyers, they implemented immediate payment required (IPR).

It looks like you have a habit of buying items and not paying for them. Yet this time, when you couldn't buy without paying, you're stuck with the item.

Also, you should be aware that sellers aren't required to combine shipping or reduce shipping charges. When you make your purchases, you are aware of the total price and in clicking, you are agreeing to the seller's terms.

    This is IMPOSSIBLE.

When you (or someone else) clicks to buy it now, there are several clicks that are done before you (or someone) can complete the purchase.

In the case of this seller, they require immediate payment so prior to clicking all the buttons to make the purchase, you (or someone) would also have had to verify the payment method and you (or someone) was made aware that payment would be made.

I am having trouble believing that all these steps were taken by mistake.

    Honesty is the best policy.

Although I am a bit confused the op does say, " buyer and seller both want this order canceled" but cant because of buy it now...that make no sense.  If the item hasn't been shipped and the seller wants to cancel it is easy, cancel the order and put in a request for a postage refund

Telling the OP to file a NAD means the seller is out the shipping cost.  This isn't on the seller....this is the buyers fault, they pay for all the damages

A lot of buttons are being hit by accident.  Unless the seller accepts returns, you're out of luck...unless you're dishonest.....then its a whole new game I'm not getting into

Another “ my cat/dog/kid/coffee mug hit the key and purchased item” . You’ve  communicated with seller for cancellation as you mentioned, but they printed the label, they can still cancel it and request a refund through eBay, they need to go to their sale history look and cancel label in question. Perhaps a new seller that is not aware on how to do this. Keep in mind that sellers have the option to cancel, buyer needs to ask. Me, I would cancel and save the hassle.

Other than that, has seller has already shipped item, you have to wait for receipt of item, do not refuse it otherwise you lose your money. Upon receipt, look for your purchase history, item return & file a NAD not as described claim, use not needed or change your mind, can’t remember the proper verbiage. Keep in mind that it will be your responsibility to pay for return shipping, upon receipt on seller side refund will be issued.

Separately, do not leave websites open that can be accidentally clicked. Good luck.

look for your purchase history, item return & file a NAD not as described claim

    ------------------------------------------

you should maybe read what you wrote, and edit out the part suggesting to file a NAD claim as that does not meet the situation and would be a false request.

We should not encourage false requests

The buyer bought it and they haven't received the item yet.

How do they know it's not as described?

It would be a remorse return, because they bought it and didn't want it.

It isn't.  That was the point of my post suggestion that the other poster "edit" their post that appeared as suggesting such.
