Ridiculous shipping quotes
What is going on with the shipping quotes?
In the past week+ items that I post show incredibly high shipping costs.
What the calculator shows as $8-10, buyers see a quote of $30+!
I had one customer who I had to beg to make the purchase, promising that I would refund the overcharge.
They were charged $105 - I wound up refunding $85!
I've had to refund charges on everything I've sold in the last 10 days.
This is ridiculous.
I called and informed an agent.
Their response?
"What do you want us to do?"
How about fixing whatever algorithm/update that went wrong?
I'm see shipping charges of >$29 for a 2lb. 12 x 6 x6 package sent USPS Ground Advantage (to my own address).
THE CALCULATOR SHOWS A CHARGE OF $10 FOR SHIPPING 2,000 MILES AWAY?
What is going on?

·7 months agoSellers do incurr various expenses selling on eBay, buyers paying a high shipping cost can help increase a seller's profit , & high shipping does financially benefit eBay.
If buyers don't like the shipping cost listed, then best to just move on, & avoid being fleeced

·7 months agoHow many of these were FedEx compared to USPS?
Your shipping charges are decent, about average, from Arizona here to Texas for most of the listing I looked at that had USPS Ground Advantage as shipping. But a couple of the FedEx listings shipping was kind of stupid.
That $200 F64 Transport Bag WITHOUT the power pack in it, 8.5 pounds, $93.42 for shipping using FedEx. No, I'm not paying that. But, it is an over sized case.
I think you're getting hit up for over sized, irregular sized packages for some of this stuff you're selling. You're not exactly selling small kids toys here. Some of these listings the shipping may be accurate. Get away from FedEx, see if UPS or USPS will take some of these dimensions for possibly lower shipping charges. If not, it is what it is.

·7 months agoI am seeing a charge of $6.34 from Mesa AZ to Mesa AZ. Maybe the system had a temporary update or glitch going on. Has it settled back down yet on your end?

·7 months agoMake sure you don't have the "Irregular Package" box checked in your listing. This can also mess things up.

·7 months agoThe only thing I can offer up is that the quotes are based on the order you select your shipping categories. IE...if you picked Fed-Ex overnight as an option and then selected Ground Advantage as your second option, the cost shown to potential buyers will be that of Fed_Ex overnight. Always make sure to clear all shipping options and then select your cheapest option first.
