please stop giving people 7 days to autopay!!!
So some bored ebay middle management factotum came up with a new way to give us sellers agita - now there's some new crap that gives people 7 days to autopay, ostensibly to let people buy more from us and combine shipping - well, here's a tip - if a buyer WANTS to combine shipping with another item, THEY WILL ASK - they're not stupid, they know how to type an email - but now with this 7 day crap, you put the seed in their head that they can just take their dear sweet time to pay while we're sitting here staring at a wall!! Now, I have to email them when I see that and say, "hey, you really need to pay as soon as possible and if you don't within 4 days, the deal is dead" - making me look like a pushy jerk and setting up a potential adversarial relationship - way to go, ebay middle management factotum!! There is no need to give this new option to the buyers that will only result in the sellers needing to let them know that taking a week to pay is not acceptable, which potentially sets up an acrimonious relationship as previously mentioned - so if your goal is to make money off of our toils and positive relationships with the people who buy the crap we sell, THIS AIN'T HELPING!!! Please end this option immediately and trust the buyers to know how to ask us a question about combining shipments, while also giving us sellers a break and not turning us into petty high school hall monitors - thank you!!

·11 months agoAs I see it, it's just a way for penny-pinching Shylocks to save a penny of bank interest before being forced to pay a week later. I adhere to dispatching my sales within three days but buyers taking advantage of this new rule don't have to pay from sabbath to sabbath.

·1 year agoChange your preferences from 'Automatically cancel unpaid items' so that you can do this manually.
You can find this under 'Selling preferences' from the 'account' tab.
Then you can contact people after 3 days and warn them that you will cancel the order the next day if they haven't paid.

·1 year agoYou're only getting 1 or 2 bids on most auctions.
I'd ditch auctions and go with a fixed price with immediate payment required if you don't want to wait for payment.
