Midwest delays to Southeast (Rome Georgia) with USPS?
Just looking to see if anyone else is experiencing MADDENING delays with shipping from the Midwest to the Southeast...have checked delays on USPS, and to to say to information is lacking is an understatement

OP1 year agoUpdate: I had a conversation with the buyer and apparently the facility in Atlanta is getting a remodel/update which is causing delays. She is also a seller and is seeing the delays on her end as well. So...just FYI if you are seeing delays shipping to the Southeast area.

OP1 year agoIt honestly appears that Dallas and Atlanta are the pinch points right now...Indy was bad also with winter storms.
I don't want to seem unfeeling to those affected, however, nothing on the USPS sites singularly points out my area in Rome, GA as being affected.

·1 year ago@christbarret-62 with all the horrible weather and flooding it is no wonder....a very hard time for so many. Breaks my heart the loss and devastation.

OP1 year agototally agree - I just wish that sellers weren't "dinged" by situations out of our control. Act of God with weather delays is understandable, it just seems they are stuck on the "3 day past delivery" policy that should be viewed by account standing, issues with THEIR vendor, etc.

·1 year ago@christbarret-62 I let my buyers know that I am watching the progress, or the lack there of, of their items. Sometimes it just depends on whom you are dealing with.
Being new here, I just try and be the seller that I would want to deal with.

OP1 year agototally agree and thank you - I have sent out messages to the buyer and right now, nothing is escalating, however...I just wanted to see if other sellers were seeing the same delays.

It seems like the Indianapolis black hole has been eliminated.
It takes very few workers who are not doing their jobs well to cause a spreading pattern of delay. Because of issues of cost, many redundant routes between cities have been eliminated and a few turkeys who create routing errors can have dramatic effects.
