"best offer" switched on when when listings auto renew?
Has anyone else had this happen? I have some parts for Yamaha saxophones up and I just received an offer of less than half my asking price for one of them... only problem is that last month I had to turn off "best offer" because it apparently was switched on when the listing auto renewed... well, it apparently did it again as I got this offer tonight. Is there a way to shut that off on your listings permanently, or globally to keep it off on ALL your listings? The part I had an offer on is one that is now no longer sold by Yamaha, and my price is less than the part retailed for when Yamaha still supported this model with parts, so my price is more than fair, and I don't want to deal with lowballers that make ridiculous offers....

·3 years agoYou can turn off Best Offer if you don't use the app or your phone. I switch to my laptop - they still make it a little tough. You have to use the "pricing options" button that's at the top of the pricing section on the right side. There's a dropdown list with the options. I turn off auto list as well as you can't do that in the app either.

You do not need to respond to offers at all.
After 24 hours they drop off.
The thing about offers is they allow you to look at the buyers FB to others before you decide.
Or you can just decline.
eBay also will just decide to add Best Offer. I have heard this doesnt happen but.... LOL

·3 years agoIt happened to me for three items I listed a few weeks ago. I only have one item listed a Best Offer but I noticed these other three had the Best Offer turned on. I do not know how it happened but it did. I turned off the Best Offer and will see if it happens again when they relist next time.
