Alarming issues people denying that they purchased an item, getting refund and not returning item.
I'm having issues with a buyer who made an offer on an item. I accepted the offer and sent the item. They decided to write me to claim they never purchased the item and wanted a refund. Now they WON'T return the item. I have reported them and given negative feedback. Anyone else having this issue??

·3 months agoNo you gave positive feedback with negative comments which is a violation. So hopefully they report your feedback you left them.
And if you refund before getting the item back then eBay considers it a done deal.

True. Sellers are only allowed to leave positive feedback. False-positive feedback goes against ebay policy. Ebay's yard. Ebay's rules.

Sounds like there's more in the background you haven't shared. So, did the buyer open a refund request? If so, what was the reason for the refund? Assuming they did open a refund request, why did you deny it?

Sellers can't give buyers negative feedback.
The feedback you left is a policy violation and the buyer should report it.
Why did you refund before it was returned?

·3 months agoLooking at the feedback you left it seems that you refunded the buyer before you received the item back from the buyer. If true, that was a mistake. You should have waited for the buyer to return the item before you issued a refund.
The other mistake is the "false positive" feedback you left for the buyer. This is a violation of eBay's feedback policy for sellers. If reported by the buyer, it will be removed. To boot, it will be a mark against you.

OP3 months agoNo choice was given to me by ebay about refunding the item. It was taken out immediately. This guy has admitted to having 3-4 accounts with differing addresses... he is a SCAMMER
