Upgrade account

I am trying to upgrade my account to a Business account. According to the eBay instructions you are supposed to be able to EDIT next to Account Type in your Personal information but there is no EDIT tab available. Is there any other way to do this?

Unless you are planning on making a hyper jump into selling, there really isn't a need for a business account just for selling.

As it is, you would be limited on how many items you can list and $ amount per month no matter what account you used or opened, along with holds on payouts of up to 30 days on this one or any you might open. Opening a new account does not change that.

You don't need a business account to open a store and at this point it would be too early to open a store.

If you do want to start a new business account, as was stated above needs different email addresses/user name.

Each account must have a different email address so you can't use this one as it's already in use. You could change the user name though. Or you can buy a paid store subscription and name your store whatever you want (that's not already taken).

When I try to do it that way, eBay will not allow me to create a seller account with my email address because it is already registered to my existing eBay account.

I also looked into creating two accounts and change my original email to a different one but then I would have to wait 30 days before I can use the email address I want for the selling account.

I can't wait that long to get it up and running and I really need to use that specific email address for the business selling account.

I am just trying to avoid calling eBay customer service. I have had many problems with that in the past.

You don't need to create a new account, you can register your existing account as a selling account.

I think you need to register as a seller first before you can become a business seller.
