Hello everyone,
I'm about to dive into the world of high-volume selling on eBay, and I'm looking for guidance on how to manage it smoothly. With over 1000 items currently listed, and potentially that many more in storage, I want to make sure my strategy is solid as I prepare for the busy holiday season. I’m particularly interested in understanding the best practices for:
Managing inventory effectively and avoiding overselling.
Setting up an eBay live account correctly, especially for UK registered self-employed sellers.
Handling returns and refunds efficiently.
Ensuring account details are accurate to avoid any confusion or issues.
If you’ve handled a similar volume of sales on eBay, or have insights into any of these areas, I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have. How do you keep everything organized, especially during peak times like Christmas? Any advice on handling taxes and financials would be greatly appreciated too!
Thanks in advance for your help!

·1 month ago@ryry-jj has hit the nail on the head. You are in the order fulfillment business.
You need to have the packing materials ready and a regimented picking and packing process and predefined shipping services.
The prices on many of your items are low enough that efficiency and problem avoidance are going to be make it or break it for your business.
Having been a businessperson for over 50 years, I can say I never have been willing to run a low price/high volume business because I lack the skills and motivation to do so. I would not climb Mount Everest either.

·1 month ago · EditedYou are in the shipping business...are you set up to handle a large volume of shipping? We have no idea what you are selling or how you plan to handle packing and shipping in a timely fashion. This will be labor intensive. Can you explain your shipping set up as to what your expected sales per day will be?

·1 month agoYou do not need forum access to sell; list your items directly using the Create Listing button on your laptop or phone app.
Save your pre-priced items as Drafts so they are ready to publish whenever you choose.
Ensure your bank account is linked under Account Settings > Payments to receive your payouts smoothly.
