Seller Verification Issue
Hello Dear Ebay Team Members i face an error or an issue while i creating my ebay business seller account i sign up on business account than i enter my business details LLC name , EIN, than i add my personal details NAME, Date of birth, Last 4 digits of SSN, than i add my business bank account details but after entering all details when i click on submit button for review i face an issue or error the issue is that

I can think of a few: Tax evasion, money laundering, fraud, deceiving buyers. Nothing legitimate of course.
TBH based on the poor English and wording of their posts, I'd be surprised if they're actually in Canada..

·10 months agoYeah, I can make assumptions as well. But I was hoping for an explanation from the OP, about why they thought this was a good way to do business.
I suspect that international would-be sellers are being deceived and taken advantage of by agents/suppliers who are basically lying to them. Trying to get more information about this scam.
There are a lot of immigrants in Canada, many of whom have already been taken advantage of by "agents" who illegally charged them a lot of money to become foreign students or foreign workers, and didn't deliver on their promises. So the English grammar could be because of that.

·10 months agoI was on the fence of them being in the USA because both countries have many immigrants. I am wondering if this is becoming a new trend to get around tariffs etc.

Unless they are using a VPN, wouldn't eBay be able to automatically detect where they are trying to register from and shut it down before it even gets that far based on the IP address if key entries are detected so they have to register using the correct location.

·10 months agoI think they are probably both being shut down because they are trying to register a business account in the USA, but they don't have a legitimate USA personal tax ID number, whether it's an SSN or an ITIN.

·11 months agoDoes your bank account name, name on your EIN match your LLC name? I have a LLC but I also have a DBA since my LLC is an umbrella. I put both my LLC and My DBA name on my account for this reason so everything matches. Everything has to match up for it to go through. I think I might have had this problem when I changed over to a business account. I think I put my DBA in instead of my LLC name. I know it fustrating but just double check everything. Even spelling. I typed in everything exactly how it looked on my LLC.

OP11 months agoDear everithing is correct i dpont live in usa i live in canada i buy usa virtual number to create this business account and after sign up to business ebay than for selling i enter everything business name , ein , personal detail, name , dob, ssn, than i attahc my bank and when i click on submint button i facce this error

You can't use a Canadian SIN to register an account in the USA. That is only good for registering a Canadian eBay account.
You can't get a USA SSN unless you are a USA citizen, or legal resident of the USA. A Social Security Number is given to people who are permitted to work in the USA, and pay into the Social Security system.
Why did you register an LLC in the USA? Why wouldn't you just register an account in Canada, with your legitimate Canadian identification? What was the benefit to you of trying to create a business account in the USA?

·11 months agoA mixture of your Business info and your personal info might be the problem. Read through this link and make sure you are complying with what Ebay needs. Things have to match up perfectly.

·11 months agoI think you should have led your post off with the fact that you don't live in the USA. You would have gotten a much different answer from me.
That's probably the reason you can't get accepted. I know Ebay has rules on this. Might want to read up on them.
And Dear....A SIN is not a SSN. So everything is not correct.
