Request for Permission to Sell Moringa Powder – Category Restriction
Summary: dhanji_naturals is seeking assistance from the eBay Seller Support Team to list their product, Moringa Leaf Powder, under the appropriate category. They are facing restrictions and have asked for clarification and guidance on how to obtain permission to sell in the desired category. shire123 responded, clarifying that this forum is not associated with eBay and cannot provide the requested help.
Dear eBay Seller Support Team,
I am a new seller on eBay and I am trying to list a product under my brand Dhanji Naturals.
Product: Moringa Leaf Powder – 500g
Brand: Dhanji Naturals
Product Type: Food-grade Moringa Oleifera Leaf Powder
Country of Origin: India
While creating the listing, eBay automatically suggests the following category:
Health & Beauty → Natural & Alternative Remedies → Herbal Remedies & Resins
However, I receive the following message:
“To maintain a safe trading environment, eBay places limits on the number of categories sellers can list in. Currently, you do not have required permission to sell in this category.”
I would like to request you to please review my seller account and let me know:
Why I currently do not have permission to list in this category.
Whether I can obtain approval to sell Moringa Leaf Powder in this category.
What documents or verification are required to obtain permission.
Whether there is another appropriate category where I can legally list this product as a packaged food product.
The product is a commercially packaged food-grade Moringa Leaf Powder and is not a prescription or OTC medicine. I am willing to provide product packaging photographs, FSSAI details, business documents, invoices, or any other documentation required for verification.
I would appreciate it if you could review my account and guide me on the steps required to obtain selling permission.
Thank you for your assistance.

·3 weeks agoThe one thing that is to your advantage is that your food-grade Moringa Leaf Powder is also used in cooking, so you can place it into the Herbs and Spices category.
Important: When listing in the grocery category, your title and description must focus strictly on its use as a food or culinary ingredient. You must not make any non-FDA-approved health or medicinal claims (such as claiming it cures diseases or serves as a medical supplement), or your listing will be flagged and removed.
I believe that after you have been active on eBay for 90 days, the category you want to put your product in should open up and allow you to list there.
