Refund, but the funds are on hold
Hi,
I sold something for the first time, and it was sent to an authenticator. They said the item was authentic, but didn't match exactly what I put in my listing, so they returned the item to me.
eBay is asking me to give the seller a refund, but the seller's funds have been on hold this entire time. I don't understand how I'm supposed to refund the seller when I haven't received any money. I'm not sure if this refund is coming out of my bank account either.
Can anyone help?

·11 months agoAs a new seller it most likely will come out of your pocket. I'm curious, since you mentioned item didn't match description, what did you say vs what it was that caused it to be sent back?

·11 months agoThere is a hold on new sellers for 30 days of any items sold.
Usually after 4 days and your 'available funds' is still in the negative the funds come out of your banking source on file.
eBay usually tells you in an email about that.

While funds are on hold, sellers have to provide a funding source to pay the refund.
When the buyers payment is released, the funds will be sent to you.
