·3 years agoCoins. They are easy to ship. You don't have to look around for the right size box. I actually buy 80% of the coins I sell from right here on eBay. This is not my selling ID. I just use it mainly to post here as many do. Pick an area, such as foreign. Lots of interest in Chinese and Mexican coins now for obvious reasons. Get yourself a reference and just start surfing eBay to get a feel of what sells for how much. Go to coin shows, locally or nationally. There is a large ANA convention in Pittsburg beginning Aug 8 for almost a week. Probably 250+ dealers will be there, large and small. Ask questions. Surf the show tables. Take cash. Don't sell common stuff like silver dollars and items like that which everyone has in their cases or listed here. Start out small to get a feel for your risk tolerance. When at shows, always negotiate the price. Pick up business cards. Red book for US coins, Whitman World Coin books for foreign. Join the ANA. There is plenty of online pricing and information. Need help? Message me. You have no idea how easy selling coins are and how profitable it is. Reinvest and your inventory will grow quickly. Good luck!

·3 years agoThey have things called planes now. 😉 You buy a ticket, board this tube-like thing with wings coming out of it on each side, find a seat, fight and yell(Frontier only) and arrive at your destination.

·3 years agoTrue, but citizens of Pakistan are not eligible for the the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, a program that allows people from many other countries to enter the U.S. for tourism without having to obtain a visa. So OP would have to get a visa to enter the United States, and that can be costly, time-consuming, and quite difficult for Pakistanis. And there are only two U.S. consulates in Pakistan which issue visas, one in Islamabad and one in Karachi.

·3 years agoBy the way, I'm not dismissing your idea of coins as something to start with, to slowly build up a good seller profile and make a bit of money. That could be just the thing. Or something along the same lines, like stamps, postcards, ephemera of various sorts, small textile items, anything that can be be stored without taking up a lot of space and then shipped easily and economically.

That is called Retail Arbitrage and is not allowed on Ebay. Get caught doing that and you will likely be sanctioned. Not a good risk to take.

Do your own research. Don't depend on others to tell you what to sell. You look around and see what interests you. Then learn more about the product or products. Find a wholesaler you can purchase from. That is often very hard but it can be done.
Once you settle on a product line or lines, as it does not have to be just one kind of thing. Get your little business set up with your state and get your business license. Then file for a Resale Certificate so you can purchase stuff you are going to be selling with no sales tax charged to you from your suppliers.

I would do some research and look to what is selling from Pakistan. Lots of art, crafts, even seasonings. I do not recommend drop shipping as it seems eBay is watching many sellers from your community and are suspending these sellers due to 3rd party drop shipping. It is not allowed on eBay.
Do some research and see what might sell from Pakistan.

Other countries might want that cheap junk from China more then the US.
We have plenty of dollar stores we can pick up all the China junk we want.

·3 years agoSadly, most countries do and I reiterate most of the other replies - stop with the DS'ing - Pakistan has some amazing products, do some research, source from your own country and you may have more success.

They should be selling those and not dropshipping junk from China.
When they are competing with thousands of other sellers dropshipping the same stuff, it's gonna be hard to sell anything.

Sell what you know.
Know what you sell.
Check selling prices- not listing prices.
Find a niche, the "popular" categories are overflowing.
Don't dropship.

·3 years agoYou are in Pakistan drop-shipping from China. You are drop-shipping the same stuff that a hundred other sellers are drop-shipping from the same supplier, and those sellers are offering it at lower prices. As if that weren't bad enough, the local dollars stores have the same stuff, from the same supplier, priced even cheaper, and buyers don't have to wait for delivery.
Plus, drop-shipping is a risky business model. You have no control over authenticity, availability, quality, packing, or shipping -- but you are responsible to the customer when there is a problem with any of those, and the problems are inevitable.
I know that is harsh, but remember that you asked.
I hope you can find a different way to sell on eBay, such as offering beautiful handicrafts from Pakistan, that you have in your own possession so you can be sure everything is right when you ship.

Something that provides adequate profit margins, while allowing you to price at a price which is competitive not just on Ebay but with the entire Internet.
Something which is of quality, you can answer buyer questions about and does not need to negative post sale experiences.
If you chose to sell on Ebay without having knowledge of products, reliable sources, and experience in customer service, you have failed to do what is required to start a successful business.
Selling on Ebay or Amazon or Walmart is not a business. Selling specific items on these sites that you have developed a business plan to offer, can grow into a business.
Lacking a plan and experience is something you will pay for until you have experience and a plan.

·3 years agoYes it is. There are NO personal transactions on Ebay.
Sometimes people just take issue with using the word "Business". This has been true all along. I've been here just as long and selling on a regular bases. All transactions are a business transaction. Some seem to think you have to be registered with your state to be a Business. And that simply isn't true.
When you come to ANY internet site with the intent to sell stuff and received payment for it, it is a business transaction. Make sure you keep all your receipts so you can claim your expenses against your income so you can arrive at a Net Income in which taxes are based on.

·3 years agoSomething that costs you almost zero. With the cost of shipping and fees to eBay these days and all of the competition with other sellers, the only way to make money on eBay is if you get the merchandise for free or really cheap. Good Luck! Don't quit your day job!
