Hello everyone!
We recently started listing our hand-dyed T-shirts and other apparel on our eBay store, and we’d love to hear any advice or recommendations from experienced eBay sellers.
We’ve had the opportunity to sell our art at vendor booths and through other platforms, but we’re fairly new to selling on eBay. Any tips, suggestions, or positive recommendations for improving our listings and growing our store would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any advice! TTFN

·1 month ago@dyediff Welcome to eBay! Congrats on the 3 sales you've had.
I like your product, especially the tye died Hanes! Unfortunately they are way too small for me. 😉
I like your pictures. When possible, show tags, especially size tags.
Make sure you read and understand eBay's 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. That will trip sellers up sometimes, especially if you have your listings set to no returns accepted. I understand why you'd have that for what you are selling, but just understand if a buyer opens up an item not as described return, you are responsible for refunding them, with or without accepting the return back. You've got 3 days to do it. You never want it to go to the 4th day as that is when buyers can ask eBay to step in. You don't want that to happen as they will refund the buyer from your funds, you get a strike, and you do not get your selling fees back. At least if you refund, you will get your selling fees back.
Being new, you will probably get some buyers who test you. They will see the no returns policy and think they can get one over on you. It is violation of eBay policy for buyers to ask for partial refunds, and I would not recommend offering a partial refund unless you know for certain you did mess up. Otherwise, tell the buyer to open a return, get the item back, and then issue the refund.
I can't comment on your pricing because I don't know the market on eBay for those things. Your prices are very much vendor booth prices. I see you have best offer on, and I think that's good in your situation. It will allow you to figure out where the eBay market is. So far it looks like $25 is working, so hopefully that will.
You may already do this, but I'd be thinking about winter clothing you can tie-die. Some long-sleeved tees. People will be pulling those out in some parts of the country by late September/October. You will want to be ahead of that.
If you run into a situation you aren't sure how to handle, come here first before making a decision. A lot of things have deadlines, so don't fool around too much trying to figure out what to do. Rarely should ever actually need to speak with someone at eBay. If you feel you need to, come here first.
Being new, your funds will be on hold for a period of time, depending on whether you use an eBay label, a 3rd party label, or no tracking at all.
Good luck. I'm saving your page.

·1 month agoExcellent reply! Wish there was a way to make this mandatory reading for all new sellers. Pretty much sums up issues that a new seller can encounter.
