New seller no views
I'm a new seller who started three weeks ago. How long does it typically take to start getting consistent views and possibly make a sale?

·2 years agoPut up a lot of simple items for (to) low prices.
Put up 10 same 'buy now' items with 1 in auction for a dollar.
Sell some items with loss, and see it as marketing costs. To gather sales and feedback.
Nowadays objects don't sell themselves anymore as they did many years ago. It needs more effort, more marketing.
Good luck!

·2 years agoThe bottle openers need to be licensed too.

·2 years agoYour prices are too high. No one is going to spend $35 for 12 ounces of ground coffee or $40 for an unbranded bracelet or $60 for postcards. Your estimated delivery date is up to 30 days. People don't want to wait 30 days for these items too. You can compare your prices with prices of items already sold recently to see what the appropriate prices should be. Good luck.

·2 years agoShipping to and from the Philippines is...are the items actually coming from your country?
Do something you ship from your country to start out to get the idea of it.
Sell recent or old Philippines stamps, cheap paper money, post cards, etc. from your country. So easy to do. There's a market out there.
Don't sell something you don't have in your hands.
As a wine director on cruise ships for many years where my entire staff were from the Philippines please give it a second thought.
Plus, you can write and read better than a lot of Americans who live in the USA.

They don't look legit.

If those NFL hats aren't officially licensed by the NFL they're counterfeit and can't be sold on eBay. I'm also pretty sure the DC & Marvel tumblers have to be licensed as well.
excellentusdesign
OP2 years agoThat's correct, they are not licensed, and I was not aware of it while using POD to create the items. Thank you for the feedback; I will simply remove them. Thank you again for your input.

·2 years agoYou need to remove all the other unlicensed items, before Ebay does and suspends your account.

·2 years agoAre you an NFL licensed vendor? Are those NFL hats authentic?

·2 years agoI've been selling off and on since 1998.
Right now I have 1260 listings with some being variations and multiple items for a total of 3662 items listed on eBay and I have MANY fixed price listings that get 0 listings for the entire month!
Ever since eBay has been offering paid promotions...my views are pathetic. I sell a lot of small toys and I'm only making about $500/month so I can't afford to promote. But I do share on Twitter.
I know times are bad, so I don't expect a lot of sales, but I have notices that sometimes my listings don't show up when I'm doing a search for similar items!
I even did an image search using the actual first photo of a few of my listing and some of them didn't even show up!

OP2 years agoI'm happy to just get views for my items right now. I know I've just started and don't expect to make many sales yet. Thank you for your feedback.

·2 years agoYou may never get consistent views with the merchandise you are offering and shipment from an International location. Your prices, the potential for duties, and shipping time all work against you.

OP2 years agoI'm using a POD service in the US. I'm still working on obtaining the policy that will allow me to use the US as the item location. Thank you for your feedback.

·2 years agoYou are a brand new seller with 0 feedback and only a few items for sale. It will take time. It has taken me 11 years to get up to my feedback number and I have plenty of items with 0 views.

OP2 years agoI keep listing every day. Thank you for your feedback.

·2 years agoYour sticker prices are to high, when we can make our own.
Are you using a POD company in the US?
List items people want at prices they are willing to pay.
excellentusdesign
OP2 years agoHello, yes, I'm using a pod company in the US. Thank you for the advice.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoThen your listings need to say the items are located in the US, not the Philippines.
excellentusdesign
OP2 years agoUnfortunately, I can't do that right now. I need to apply for a policy first, but to do that, I need to have a good rating on eBay so they can evaluate that my product is really in the US.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoTrying to sell those counterfeit items won't get you very good ratings with Ebay.
Lying about the location of your items is a policy violation and could get you shut down.
If you don't change, your selling days will be pretty short here.
excellentusdesign
OP2 years agoI agree, and I have already removed those items. Thank you for the feedback.

·2 years agoHogwarts, Helldivers, Transformers... ETC......... items need to be removed also.
You do not own the rights to make and sell using the companies names, pictures, designs.
