New on Ebay sell
Hello,
I have been a buyer on Ebay for 10+ years, so I already have a Paypal account.
Now I would also like to sell here, namely, used spare parts for various grooming aids. First only in the EU area, but later perhaps also more widely. My location is in the country of Slovenia.
I would like to know what happens with payments for sold products, and how to choose the most suitable postal service - can it be GLS, DHL, DPD, etc.?
If it is, then I conclude that it is necessary to conclude some additional contract with the selected postal service?
I would also like to know how paying for sales services to Ebay is, is it necessary to pay a certain amount for the store monthly, or does Ebay take a percentage of the amount from the sale of the product for each sale?

·2 years agoIf you want to sell just to the EU you will have to list on one of the EU country sites. Or on the UK site if you are willing to ship to the UK as well. If you list on the .com site, you must ship to the United States.

OP2 years agoSo the best option for me as i see is to register new ebay profile on .de site.
In this case i lose everything made by now on .com site - ok.
So i need to get now new email account at first, with which i register new ebay account on .de site.
Than i have to input my credit card for payments and fees, than connect new ebay account with Payoneer.
I hope there will be no issues with adding the same credit card on new ebay account .de, as i am using now on .com site?
I also checked now for shipping if I stay on the .com page. So if I uncheck the US and all other countries except the EU for shipping, then in this case I could stay on .com and not ship to the US and elsewhere than the EU?
Please reply and advice.

i googled a bit about PayPal and Payoneer and it says that it is not absolutely mandatory to have either of these services linked to an ebay seller profile. It is written that a credit card entered and confirmed by ebay is also sufficient.

·2 years agoNot if its a foreign cc, Ebay will not accept that. You must use Payoneer.

·2 years agoAfter eBay takes the final value fee from the buyer's payment the proceeds are deposited in your Payoneer account. Your debir/credit cards are for making payments. That's how you pay for eBay purchases and for seller fees that aren't taken out of the payout.
You would choose Online Seller when you sign up for an Individual Payoneer account.

·2 years agoCredit cards are only for PAYING for purchases. They are not designed for ACCEPTING payments as a seller.

·2 years agoYou are being given some information that isn't correct. eBay will not put your payout in your checking account. Selling from Slovenia you would need to link a Payoneer account to receive payouts.
You can sell on eBay with a personal or a business eBay account. Payoneer has 2 different types of accounts so select an Individual Payoneer account if your eBay account is a personal account. If you have an eBay business account, which I suspect it's not, then you would link a Company Payoneer account.
After linking Payoneer lets you know right away if you're successfully linked. Then after linking you still can't sell right away because it takes eBay 2-4 weeks to activate your selling account. They'll send you an email when you're all set. You will also need to attach a credit or debit card to pay for seller fees that aren't taken from the payout.

I currently have two bank cards in the Payments system, one is a business card that I have used for the past years only for ebay purchases, and the other bank card that I recently added with the intention of selling on ebay is a private bank card.
I added private because I read on the ebay community that even if I intend to appear as a company with a store on ebay, it is still better to start with a private profile at the beginning, because of this, since private sales are already a large amount of information, business sales with a store is even more widespread.
That's why I'm currently selling under a private profile only some of my personal components for products that I would later sell as a whole under a business profile.
So, if I understand correctly, it is absolutely necessary to connect Payoneer to my ebay profile in order to be able to receive payments at all, because otherwise I won't be able to even though I have a bank card successfully added to Payments?

·2 years agoYes, you need to connect a Payoneer account to your Managed Payments account to get paid.
Ebay will send your payments to Payoneer, then they will send the funds to you.

How you chose to ship your items from your country is up to you. We don't know your country's options. make sure you have delivery confirmation.
I suggest listing on the UK site.

Could you perhaps also tell me about product payments, do I need a special bank account, or is an existing business bank account sufficient?
And in the case that the existing business bank account is sufficient, what about issuing an invoice for a product that a potential customer bought from my sales assortment on ebay?

·2 years agoGetting paid, you have to sign up for Managed Payments and I'm not sure what you need in your country, either a checking account or a Payoneer account so you can be paid.
As far as shipping, it depends on what is avaliable in your country.
Starting out, you won't need a store subscription.

·2 years agoYour bank account you already have should be totally fine. I believe for the first month ebay may put holds on your payments because you have a new account. they will let you access the money for shipping though. after about a month you can get paid weekly or daily basically in a day or 2 after a sale. the first month is kind of a test period to make sure you actually send the items. they'll start you out with a low amount of listings ( I think it was like 50 items when I first started for a certain amount of monies) within a month or 2 they will raise your listing limits and the amount of value you can put on the site. that first month is basically a testing period to see if you'll be able to ship items. after 2 -3 months they'll open it up for you and you'll be good to go. You probably won't need a store on here for quite some time as it does require quite a bit of work and time to get enough listings to justify it. my limit right now is 560 listed items or 14,000 dollars per month. which is plenty for me and i've probably put on a little bit more than 300 items this year which took a pretty good amount of time.

So, as far as I can read, opening a store is impossible for me for now and completely pointless, because it is first necessary to prove to Ebay that I am a serious and honest seller - I like this way and it is appropriate.
