new account temporary account restriction
My newly opened account, which has never made a sale, has been temporarily restricted. I prepared an appeal letter, but when I tried to send it via the help/contact menu, the bots kept redirecting me to unrelated menus without understanding my question. That's why I can't send my appeal letter to eBay. Isn't there an easier way? I need urgent help.

·7 months agoYou can send as many "appeal letters" as you want - if you have a brand new account, you still have to deal with the restrictions.
It doesn't matter if you are an LLC, a C-Corp, S-Corp, or even an attorney wearing a $50,000 three piece suit. You have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

·7 months agoOk, first off...eBay doesn't care about if you do or don't have an LLC, they want you to be in the same locations as your items you are selling. Whatever warehouse you claim to use, eBay doesn't like them.
From ebay's perspective, a non-US LLC = BBE. They stop those before they even start

·7 months agoThere is no appeal and there is nowhere to send an 'appeal' letter. Typically their decision is final and they will NOT tell you why so you can 'find' a way to work-around.
My guess, someone attached to you or your account or your IP or your home address etc. owes ebay money for something from a while ago, or were 'removed' from being a member on ebay etc.

OP7 months agoSo what should I do? Is there nothing I can do? Everything is official and as it should be.
My LLC is registered, my documents are in order, my bank account is verified, but I can't figure out this restriction that seems to be out of nowhere 😞

·7 months agoYou seem to have gone through an awful lot of unnecessary preliminary work (and money) before you even tested the waters. You don't need an LLC to start selling on eBay.
Are you actually living in the USA?
There have been a lot of posts recently, from people with similar stories, who had tried to register for an LLC in the USA to start a drop-shipping business, but they were not living in the USA. Someone is spreading bad information, in order to cheat people by selling them overpriced services and persuading them to open an LLC as non-residents, and charging a lot of money to "help" with that.
Some of those people posted their "appeal letters" here, but there really isn't any process for filing an "appeal letter". If eBay needs information from you to lift a restriction, they will specify what they need and how you can submit the documents in their email.
I believe those scammers are getting their "client's" accounts banned because the business information they provides links the new accounts to older accounts that have already been banned, because the agent information, addresses and so on have been used multiple times for different accounts that did not follow policy or provide good customer service.

Anytime a new member here brings up "LLC", "Documents", everything is "Official", AND your account SHOWS you are in the United States, something YOU typed in there when opening the account, 10 out of 10 of you are sitting in Pakistan, India, Liberia, Nigeria, somewhere like that, and you're trying to open an account to start dropshipping, or scamming Buyers here in the United States.
Ebay is aware of this too. This is not Ebay's first Rodeo with accounts like this, and you're not the first Rodeo Clown they've had to get rid of.
Move on.

·7 months agoI do not know about the appeal process.
But I have heard of people having temporary restrictions because eBay doesn't have your personal information.
I.D., checking account, social security, phone number.
Sometimes they call you to verify so it is important to answer.
Someone may be along with better information for you.
