Need help or advice from a seller with over a quarter million sales and 100% positive feedback?
I am posting this as I have been a bit frustrated with some of the advice I see from people with special badges saying they are who people should seek out on this forum....
I have been on this platform since the 1990's.. I have seen every scam / extortion / bug / glitch you can think of in that time period.... I won't claim to know literally everything about ebay (just found out something new this week in fact), but I consider myself an "expert" at what I do....
My credentials:
-27 year old ebay account
- 100% positive feedback
- over 257,000 confirmed transactions
- currently have over 92,000 items listed in more than 27,000 listings
- As explained to me by one of the highest agents of company, my accounts age / volume causes me to see almost every bug and /or glitch on ebay.. as such I've become very well versed with the support side of the platform
So if you need help or advice, please feel free to post here... I will try my best to help you. Only caveat is I will not tell what to purchase or how to purchase inventory to maximize sales ... I will gladly help you navigate how to sell them though.

First off, congrats on your success.
But, if we're being honest, where would a newbie seller go for needed advice? I certainly would have much more confidence in talking to those like yourself in the general Selling board, than conscientiously going to a board labeled "New to Selling on eBay". Having two Selling communities makes no sense unless eBay CS is directly assisting them on the New Seller board.

OP5 months agoI posted this because there is a group of "community volunteer mentors" that instead of doing exactly that.. were antagonizing people, giving misleading information, and rather than helping with an issue, telling the person asking for help it's their fault they have an issue and get over it.... wish I was kidding lol....
I posted this in this forum section because I felt newer members would need the most help and I would hate for them to experience the "mentor" experience I witnessed and experienced myself ... most people that work for ebay are great people.. I wish they were the one's doing that "mentoring"

·5 months agoHopefully, your mere presence and sales history will dissuade some buyers from handing out the advice that sellers shouldn't list anything that is less than $20.

·5 months agobeen here a long time too My only question is how many people are doing listings for your business The specifics take so long I only get so many done is a day I was thinking on hiring someone for a few years before I retire. Baseball cards would be easier to list since you already know the maker and the postage cost I sell so many different things that need cleaned sized maker determined weighed etc.. I am sitting on 10.000's of BB cards from the late 60's to the early 90's myself but I know nothing about them they were willed to me. Maybe I should put someone on them.

OP5 months agoI used to have a shipping employee but I now run my entire store myself... I create many "generic" item specifics that I can re use and not have to re do over and over (IE saying NFL instead of Miami Dolphins) .... but keep in mind every word you use in specifics is part of your search algorithm ... if you feel overwhelmed consider hiring a family member or someone you trust to fill them out for you
as for the sports cards (that's ironically my main category) .. as I said I won't give advice on products.. but I will say if you don't know what you have.. don't wing it... especially on vintage sports cards. You could be sitting on gold or fool's gold.... check with a hobby shop (or DM me some pics I might take them off your hands lol)
