Managed Payments Question
Hi everybody,
I'm preparing to create my first listing. A little over six months ago I opened a checking account that would be
used only for eBay sales. Due to issues in my personal life, I wasn't able to start selling when I opened the account--as I had planned. Now that I'm ready to launch, I'm wondering if the checking account I opened is too old to meet Managed Payments requirements. It seems I read somewhere that a new seller's checking account can't be older than 3 months.......or something like that. Could you possibly shed some light on this matter? Thank you!

·2 years agoAs long as it's a checking account through a legit bank shouldn't be a problem.

It's no problem at all!
My checking account & associated debit card were MANY years old when I was signed up for Managed Payments. If you're using a participating bank, the age of your account won't be an issue.
Good luck with your sales! 😊

So, what you need is the routing number to the checking account...you can ask the bank clerk for number or if you have any checks it will be listed on the check. And also hook up your debit card to your account also as a second resource....you usually get a debit card with a checking account nowadays with no free checks.

·2 years agoI have never heard of that restriction...I can honestly say my account was much older than 3 months when I signed up....
As long as you have access, the checking account is not dormant, and is with a participating bank you should have minimal problems linking up....
