Listings not showing up in the search engine?
Hello! I'm new to selling on Ebay. I listed 3 items this afternoon for sale, but even though they are showing up under active listings for me, they can't be found via the Ebay search engine. I sorted by newly listed, but my items just aren't showing up.
Is this because I am a new account? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before they show up in the search results? I tried contacting customer support through the chat but I think the person helping me was confused, because they made a reference to a listing I have never posted.
Any insight would be really appreciated!

·2 years agoI see 4 items that you listed today.. The reason you do not see them as active listings is because you canceled them prematurely.
You did sell one item but apparently you did not want to follow through with the deal?????

·2 years agoIt takes up to 24 hours for new listings to index in search and it's common for new seller listings to take longer to index than established sellers. If you revise the listings, clock starts over. Give it time @Anonymous . In the meantime, here are some new seller links you can review if you haven't already:
New sellers are targets for scammers that will make fake offers and try to get you to text or email them outside of eBay. Keep messaging on eBay and if you have any more questions come back and ask.

·2 years agoIt can take up to 48 hours to index (but 24 is more common), seems like new listers are subject to longer indexing times, but it also depends on what you listed.
