Immediate Permanent Suspension
Hello,
Not sure if it is even possible to get help with this, at least according to customer service. I made my first account with ebay because I have pokemon cards I want to sell such as duplicates. So I made my account via google and 2 hours after that I made my first small listing of a 5$ pokemon card, then 2 minutes later my account is suspended. I noticed since my listing was taken off so I called customer service, they asked for my name and info about what I would be selling and a general price range. Then as I was put on hold it was determined that my account is permanently suspended with no chance of appeal. I ask why and was told they were unable to tell my as to protect ebay's policies and making sure they are not manipulated. I did call again after I was hung up on since there was no possible way to appeal and I got the same responce from another rep. Can anyone tell me what just happened? I dont understand my "violation" I just made a normal listing, description of the card, price, details literally nothing I can see that would warrant permanent suspension. I just wanted to use ebay since I see listings and pricing for pokemon cards frequently, is it because I'm an independent seller with no vendor behind me? If anyone has any advice or can at least take a good shot at the why I would appreciate it

·2 years agoYou sign into 'eBay'...typing the word eBay and create an account.
You can go into google...but then you type the word 'eBay'.

·2 years agoHow did you make an ebay account on Google??. How did you call ebay? It has been years since you could direct call them and if you found the number on Google, it is highly likely you may have been speaking to spammers. I don't know why CS would care what you are selling & price range..hopefully you didn't give out personal information such as payment/cc/banking account/password, etc.
As far as the suspension it could be something conflicting with verifying your identity, having a previous account that got suspended/owe money on, or being linked to another person/family member that has had their account suspended. ebay won't give anyone the exact reasons for suspension as doing so would allow users the ability to circumvent policy.

@thatlucktho, when an account is immediately suspended, it almost always means that the new account has been linked to an older account that has already been permanently suspended. This could be because of some information that was shared between the new account and the older one.

·2 years agoYes, you said that. There are a number of ways that the accounts could have been linked.
Through the address, mailing address, or phone number. If someone in your family or household has had an account that was suspended. If you signed up for managed payments, any of the information you gave for that, if it had been used before. Your SSN, if you provided that. The IP address that you used to connect.

OP2 years agoThen i guess maybe someone in my house has been banned idk. That makes no sense to me, i guess ebay just turned out to be a terrible choice in well, doing anything i guess. Never got the chance to do something
