How to Request Authorization to Sell Products Shipped from Abroad (CJ Dropshipping) — I'm from Brazi
Hello, how are you?
I’m from Brazil and I’m starting a business selling on eBay. I intend to use CJ Dropshipping to sell products that are shipped directly from warehouses located abroad, such as in China or the United States.
I’ve read eBay’s dropshipping policy and I understand that this practice is allowed as long as the item’s shipping location is correctly stated in the listings, I take full responsibility for customer service and delivery, and the supplier is not another marketplace (such as Amazon or AliExpress).
My question is: how do I request authorization to operate this way? Is there any procedure or channel where I can inform eBay that I’m using this business model with a supplier located abroad, even though I’m a seller based in Brazil?
I want to make sure everything complies with eBay’s guidelines to avoid any restrictions or account suspension due to the shipping address.
I appreciate any guidance from the eBay team or from other sellers who have already gone through this process!

·1 year agoTo be successful in the drop shipping business, you can not let eBay have any power...they will smoke you. And yet, selling on ebay....guess what...eBay has all the power
And I will say to anyone who wants to enter the drop shipping business, if anyone here needs to provide you with that info, then you cant do it successfully. You better have manufacturer contracts, 3PC and rebates coming your way...that is where your profits are. Otherwise you have zero economy of scale for all the risk and effort

I agree with everything posted above..
I will ask; Don't you have some unique cultural items, snacks, candy, crafts, clothing etc... from Brazil you could purchase and list?
I think those items might be well received. I know they would be better received than just more dropshipped cheap junk we can find for less elsewhere.

·1 year agoWhere would a buyer return an item for a refund for an item not as described?
Or would you just refund the buyer due not being able to get the item returned?
Because of this you will lose money instead of making money.
So it's not a good situation to sell something you don't have in your possession.

·1 year agoI wouldn't use a place like that to dropship from, the only one that'll make any money is CJ.
With all the other sellers trying to dropship their Chinese junk, you'll have a lot of competition and have to sell things so cheap, you won't make anything.

·1 year agoI would have to echo that sentiment.
You probably won't find a lot of members that are willing to help you get started here.
As a buyer I do everything I can to avoid buying from drop shippers. Its always problematic and many of the items sold are, well.. Not worth the price.
I can't speak for everyone, there possibly is someone that would love another drop shipper added to the eBay selling pool, but I wouldn't know who that is.
Not trying to be mean about it, honestly I'm not. But most of us have a distasteful opinion of drop shipping in general. That's all it is.

·1 year agoMy advice to you? Dont do it. Drop shipping sellers are at the bottom of the barrel on Ebay..they all sell the same junk items. There are millions of them listed here. You do realize that it will be your account that suffers for items not received or damaged or incorrect items?
