How do I proceed with a sale on Ebay?
I have been contacted that a buyer wants an item I have for sale on Ebay. How do I proceed to complete and get paid for this transaction?

·3 years agoI am 99% sure that your buyer is a scammer. Is your item on Ebay right now. ALL that the person has to do it click the buy button. If it's an auction, they need to bid. Is the item that they want a pricey one? Is it a phone or electronic game system. If yes, do NOT even respond to that scammer.
If they do buy it, make sure that you see the payment in MY EBAY and it's says You've been paid, getting ready to ship. IF the payment is NOT there, for sure the buyer is a scammer.
Do not exchange email addresses or phone numbers! If you did that , you are for sure going to be scammed.

·3 years ago"Contacted" how? If a perspective buyer has messaged you, ask them to 'Buy It Now' or 'Make offer'.
"Proceed" by shipping the item after the buyer pays.

·3 years agoI would tell the person that contacted you that they are more than welcome to bid on or buy your item.
That you only do business on eBay. And take eBay payments.
Sometimes these folks will try to get your PayPal info to send payment. Most of the time this does not work out.

Sometimes scammers try to arrange off-eBay transactions, such as exchanging emails or phone numbers and then paying through PayPal. This is a scam. You should communicate only through eBay's own messages system.
