    Ebay scam

I am just another casualty of the eBay scam of restricting your account and holding your funds while you answer email after email with no resolve. I have over $4k in funds that they refuse to pay me. They keep asking for more and more personal info, and receipts for the items I sold. Like many people, the items i sold are from a life long collection or were gifts. I have made 7 phone calls and keep getting told “just explain it they were part of a collection” and it will be fine. After I respond i get another email asking for proof of purchase. There are dozens of videos on Youtube and other outlets of people who have faced this same issue.
I am suffering greatly because of this as i am having to pay daily for transportation to work because the whole reason i was selling was to pay for my truck which broke down. I am literally going broke and eBay could care less! Every item i sold has been received by the buyer and very positive feedback left, but eBay doesn’t care.
How a company can treat people this way is beyond me. If anyone has any advice i would greatly appreciate it. The only other option i can think of is to sue which will cost me even more. The stress of this is killing me because if this goes on much longer i will have to stop paying certain bills so i don’t lose my job.

The binoculars for $2899. might have been the one that put a hold on your funds. Selling similar items also hurt the seller. A seller should always start out selling inexpensive items for feedback.

    Their profile isn't available.

Someone gifted to you multiple ~$400 GPS watches?   A bunch of NIB items.  eBay should rightfully doubt that a brand new satellite communicator is from a lifelong collection.

Maybe these items were gifts or truly from a collection.  BUT, from an outsider’s perspective, if there aren’t receipts, it looks like drop shipping or stolen merch.

i should also say that positive feedback from your buyers wont help to receive your funds. You wouldnt be the first seller to receive positive fb on your items, then three weeks later have that buyer open a not as described case against you. Ebay has a thirty day money back guarantee, and Paypal and most cc's have six months.

Sorry for your troubles. Untill all your recent sales, you have no sale history here at all. Ebay prefers that any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs, hence the holds on your funds. You agreed to these holds when you signed on here with the U/A agreement, so be aware you will probably be wasting your money with any legal help. The U/A agreement to protect Ebay from frivolus lawsuits is iron clad. You have sold a lot of brand new, very expensive items, so naturally Ebay expects you to have receipts for those. I dont know any way to get around that. If you cant produce any receipts for all those items, eventually your funds will be turned over to your states unclaimed property division. Sorry that I dont have better news for you, good luck.
