Need advice — USPS attempted delivery on my $700+ iPhone sale on Saturday June 27 but was unsuccessful. Redelivery is scheduled for Monday. I tried contacting eBay support but couldn’t get through due to technical issues on their end.
As the seller I shipped on time and have full tracking showing the package is with USPS at the buyer’s location in Bear, DE. My concern is the buyer opening an “item not received” case against me before I can get seller protection documented.
Has anyone dealt with this situation before? Am I protected under eBay’s seller protection policy if the buyer opens a case given that tracking shows two attempted deliveries? Any advice on how to get this documented with eBay would be greatly appreciated.

·1 month ago · EditediPhones are a high fraud, risky item to sell. While you are not "required" to have signature confirmation under $750, I wouldn't send any iPhone of any value without one, partially for this reason. Going to a freight forwarder, you absolutely should have signature confirmation on an iPhone. I don't normally sweat freight forwarders, but for a $700 iPhone... I'd be concerned. Being a new seller also puts a huge target on your back for such high fraud items. Even if the freight forwarder gets it, he can still do a chargeback claiming "credit card fraud" later to try and steal the money back, and then you have a chargeback to deal with (today, eBay should cover you, but...) If you do get it sent back by the post office, refund and sell it locally.

·1 month agoeBay has access to the tracking information - and if needed they can access that. It's not an issue at this time, and more than likely won't be an issue.

Everything appears normal for such an occurrence.
There is a freight forwarder in Bear DE. If this address is that organization, and you are inclined to be a worrier, you may wish to worry about that, not the attempted delivery.
I have never had a problem with any shipment for a Freight Forwarder, but some Ebay sellers are paranoid about them.
