Combined shipping
I have a buyer that just purchased 2 items from me. I accepted an offer on one of the items. And couldn't change for free shipping. 2 labels are ready in the orders area, what do I do now?
I'm fairly new at this platform and still have a lot to learn. lol

·8 months agoDid the buyer then pay individual shipping on each item? Was agreed upon that you would combine shipping? If so, that is ok, just box the items up, weigh and measure, then go to get shipping label under one of the sold items and buy the postage. Go back and manually enter the same tracking number into the other item that you didn't purchase the label. Then do a partial refund for the difference paid vs the actual amount less any surcharges or handling you chose to apply or not apply.
Remember, not all combined shipping items will provide a discount, sometimes it may cost more to combine larger items into one box. If you set up combined shipping rules, eBay will combine the weight, but they have no way of knowing the new box size...this can lead to an expensive problem. For this reason I do not set up any combined rules, I just partially refund the difference' if there is one.
Buyers can place all items into their "cart" and request a total with new shipping. The cart option will allow you to buy a shipping label that include all the items on one packing list and automatically assign the tracking to all items in the cart treating it as one order. The cart option will not apply when offers are made by the buyer as it usually generates immediate payment
