Canada post tracking error

Hello, newer seller here and just curious if anyone knows the likely outcomes to my problem.

A customer bought an item and I shipped with the tracking number. Updated along the way but stopped suddenly. I waited a week and contacted the buyer. He said he contacted canada post and something went wrong with the tracking number but he did indeed receive his item.

My question is will ebay let the money be available for payout after the hold date even if it says the package was not delivered? Thanks in advance for any input!

Was the tracking number entered in manually or with eBay labels directly? Recent observation has been manually entered numbers do not consistently show as delivered. eBay Labels do. When you check either the CP site or USPS they confirm delivered. If buyer says they received you should be okay. Things will just need to run their course for your payment to be released.

One more addendum to this post. If you happen to do a partial refund for a particular order for some strange reason eBay also hides final tracking (delivered) status. Went back on some older shipments and this cropped up multiple times. I guess in eBay's eyes refunding is verboten...like feeding the bears.

As long as the buyer doesn't file an INR, the funds should be released and sent to you.
