Buyer received item, tracking still has not updated to received/delivered
Hi so last week a watch that I sold and shipped tried to make a delivery but failed and so it's said that a delivery has needed to be rescheduled since then. However a couple days later the buyer said they were able to pick the item up, but the tracking never updated it still shows that it needs to be rescheduled. It's been quite a few days now and it's still not updating. Ebay support said they cannot release the payment until the tracking has been updated. Even though the buyer has literally sent a picture of said item in the chat and Ebay support even noted that he has received the package. I contacted USPS and they put in a request which I should hear back from in few days?
Is there anything I can do or do I just have to wait for USPS? It says if I don't reschedule the delivery by the 9th it's going to be returned to sender. I realize that if that happens I'll end up getting paid but I'm really not trying to wait that long...

·7 months agoAs @stuff4divas suggests you were always destined to wait the 30 days, with or without a delivered scan.
That is the normal procedure for new sellers with payments on hold.
What is also normal is incorrect information provided by Ebay support. This was benign but it should be a warning against calling them before you have exhausted all other sources of advice, including reading all of the relevant seller help, and asking for help on this forum. Their bad advice could cost you dearly, and Ebay will not stand behind it.

·7 months ago@itsbrittanid ebay considers 'attempted deliveries' the same as delivered.
regardless of the delivery scan, u r a new seller, so u would have to wait the 30 days anyway so that ebay is sure the buyer doesn't open a case to return, etc
since u have no track record of how u handle returns, etc, ebay holds the funds

I would to a trace/track the package with the usps.
If they somehow realize that they screwed up and the package was in fact delivered, maybe they can apply a delivery scan after the fact? If @wastingtime101 says they can't, she's probably right.
You should eventually get paid after the hold.
Something else that came to mind.
What's to stop you from filing a insurance claim with the usps since technically they lost the package?

·7 months agoThere's nothing you can do if the carrier forgot to scan it as delivered when the buyer picked it up. USPS will not apply a scan retroactively.
You just have to wait out the 30 day payment hold then eBay will release your funds.
