Thank you for responding I did go back and review my description I will not use AI for this anymore, I had three similar Items selling . I also went back and checked the other two items .
I want to make sure I understand correctly if I send a partial refund can the buyer still request a refund at 30 days . So what happens with the Partial refund If excepted?
I would have to then pay the difference from the original amount and or buy a return shipping label if I want the item back .
@allulr37 It is probably best not to use AI in the manner you are using it. When you have to follow along behind it because it is mistake prone, it really does not save you any time.
I'm going to respond to both your posts here. The buyer has not opened an offical return, so there is nothing for you to do. I would not refund outside of an offical return, because the buyer will be able to open a return even if you partially refund them. There is nothing that prevents them from doing it.
Since the buyer has not responded to your messages, I would not message again. If they were truly upset, they would open a return. There is no need to keep bothering them.
Hi I did send a message to the buyer and offers a generous amount for there issue or A full refund , my amount is probably higher then a new shipping label to return it . I would prefer to make the costumer happy and not get poor feedback .I sent this offer on the 1st of September and heard nothing back . I did just send another message follow up. If I get no response what sold I do. Thank you
@allulr37 Hi. You can definitely offer a partial refund if that is acceptable to the buyer.
Before you do that, have you actually verified there was something wrong or misrepresented in the listing?
Sometimes with new sellers, especially ones who do not accept returns, scam buyers will try to take advantage and demand a partial refund.
Also, a buyer who demands a partial refund is in violation of eBay policy and should be reported, even if something was wrong with the listing. You can definitely offer a partial refund and allow them to keep the item if that is okay with the buyer. If the buyer does not want the item and they have opened up a return, you will need to provide to them a shipping label within 3 days. You do not want them asking eBay to step in. If eBay has to step in, you lose your selling fees, get a strike on your account, and the buyer will get a full refund out of your funds and not have to return the item.
Ok ! Yes It could be my mistake, If he wants to return it I don’t care like you said I rather keep everyone happy offering $7.00 back on a $20.00 item is more then the shipping I would have to pay if he excepts, so if he excepts a partial refund how do send that without getting eBay involved, and do you think $7.00 is enough.
@allulr37 There are a lot of unknowns. You said, "It could be my mistake." That seems to indicate you are still unsure whether you made a mistake. This is less about making the buyer happy and more about making sure you are listing things correctly and you know what you have in your listings.
eBay does not need to be involved but if you are going to issue a refund it must be done through eBay. Unless the buyer opens an actual return and you refund through that, there is nothing that stops the buyer from opening an actual return within the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee window and forcing you to take back the item for a full refund.

·1 week agoThe Sister Wendy book you have listed is Not As Described.
It is not Brand New. It has visible dustjacket flaws.
I stopped after looking at one listing.
That is not an AI problem.

·1 week agoAs you know, that buyer can open an item not as described case. Also, why are you not sure whether or not the description was wrong?
