Auctioneers license
Just getting back to Ebay after a long break. Things have changed. So I have been reading that in Ohio you need an Auctioneers license to sell on Ebay. So where do I find out if my state of North Carolina also requires a license? I am selling because I need money. I'm not wanting to spend money on license and auction training.

·1 year agoDon't auction anything.
Less than 15% of transactions on eBay are auctions.
Most are Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required.
This allows your listing to be visible for 30 days -FREE- and to stay visible until someone actually pays.
Then eBay tells you they have paid, you ship, and the payment which has been Held in your Managed Payments account is transferred to your checking account.
You do have a Managed Payments account set up and registered right?
Don't do anything until that is done.

·1 year agoIt is not required to have an auctioneers license in Ohio. The platform maintains the selling aspects of your items, not you. That's what we pay fees for. I seriously doubt if NC requires any "auctioneers" license to sell personal items.

a.) buy to sell
b.) do over $10k
Buy It Now does NOT require the licensing.

It was a year or two ago....I was 'informed' that because ebay provides the MBG for buyers, we are exempt from the provisions of this bill (if memory serves me right)
