.35 listing fee.
I'm a part-time seller. Have 233 items listed.
Now I have a charge of .35 listing fees per item. After reading through 2 min read is it my understanding that anything under 250 items per month there are no listing fees? These really add up. Can someone explained in lamens terms how I can stop these fees?

·2 years agoThe low budget store is about $28 monthly, as I use - you will still be limited to 250 AUCTIONS each month, and I see you run everything as an auction with Best Offer or BIN.
Congratulations on your actual sales. Are they selling at the BIN/Offer price, or at an auction price? If the former, is it worth playing with the auctions on every item?
Someone will tell me I'm wrong, but a listing is 25 cents, but including the Best Offer is an added 10 cents.

·2 years agoThere is no fee for adding "Best offer" on a listing. You might be thinking about the era when there was a fee for adding a "Buy it now" option, on an auction-format listing.
But that's a good catch -- a Basic store won't help the OP much, since they'll just get 250 auction-format listings. Also, the free 250 store auction-format insertions can only be used in "selected categories". Most but not all of the OP's listings are in those categories, so they could even be worse-off if they stick to auctions.

·2 years agoThat 250 refers to how many free insertions you get per month, not to how may listings you can have active at one time. Each time you list an item, relist, or when a fixed price listing rolls over each month, that will use up one of your 250 free insertions. They are not refunded or restored when a listing ends.

OP2 years agoThank you, if I understand correctly after combined total of 250 then the listing fees begin and the only hope of negating the fees would be to open a store for a flat rate fee? No other options other than to not surpass the 250?

·2 years agoAnother option would be to set up a second account for selling; that account would also get 250 free insertions per month.
The lowest level of Store subscription (Starter) only gives sellers the same 250 free insertions, so if you want more free insertions you'd have to pay for the Basic level. Work out the numbers to figure out whether the cost of the Basic subscription would be cost-effective, after considering what you'd save via free insertions and the lower final value fee rates.

·2 years ago@fab_finds4u, I don't think your interpretation of that policy is correct.
I have never heard that eBay interprets that policy to say that sellers can't have more than one selling account, and take advantage of the free listings that each account receives. Many sellers do that, and have not reported that eBay has an issue with it.

·2 years agoOn another policy page, eBay specifically states that it is OK to have multiple accounts, although "Registering new accounts to avoid buying and selling restrictions or limits, or other policy consequences, is not allowed on eBay."

·2 years agoThat page says, "Registration of new accounts in order to circumvent sales limits on eBay is prohibited. " That help page policy refers to situations where the seller is trying to circumvent their listing limits, not avoiding insertion fees.

·2 years agoThat count includes your active listings as well as your sold listings. Go to overview and look for monthly limits it will tell you how much you've used
