I just decided to list a couple items and went through whole process, as I went to submit post it said account restricted - I needed to add payment information… I did not even remember that I had listed something a while back but then I saw that I had a negative review…when I read it I was shocked!! The person claimed I got their money and never sent the item!! I immediately remembered listing but never knew it sold!!I definitely did not get the money so I went into my messages and started scrolling…. I have made plenty of purchases since then but a dispute was also filed so I am sure the person got their money back but I went to update my payment information- never realized I needed to and my account is negative $40 and change.. I do not want to put bank info in for it to be taken and it had a date of July 6th to put in by…. Of course. What do I do?

·2 weeks agoIf Ebay refunded your buyer because you failed meet your responsibilities, you owe Ebay the fees associated with this sale.
They will refer you for collection if you do not pay. When you provide your bank account they will attempt to remove their fee from it.
This can harm your credit rating, and can lead to many annoying calls from debt collectors.
What you do could impact your peace of mind as well as your pocketbook.

I don't think eBay operates for any seller without bank info, anymore. Buyers can't bid or make offers without payment info either. It's been that way a while.
If you go to "Sell" link, into Seller Hub, click Payments >> All transactions. Then modify the filters.. you should be able to see the charges.
I can help take the mystery out of the charges. I can't help you with the payment.
If you want to buy or sell on eBay, you're going to have to get that taken care of. Check what the charges were... maybe somethings off?

·1 month ago@tinwallac-7 What do you do? You pay attention if you have something listed so you know when it sells. Saying you did not know something sold isn't an acceptable excuse.
If you owe eBay $40, they are going to get that money. You have to have a payment method on file for this very reason. They probably won't take you to collections over $40, but even if you make another account they will know you owe them $40 and they will get it from you there.
Be an adult and pay the money you owe.
