Preferred cleaning product for used auto parts?
I've been using traditional Windex and paper towels for years to clean auto/ motorcycle parts before listing. I've noticed lately it seems to be leaving streaks to the point I need to re-wipe the whole thing down, never had this issue before.
Curious what method/ materials other people use to clean up their used car/truck/bike parts

·3 years agoReally depends on what you are cleaning, and what you are trying to remove! I'll second the Vote for Simple Green and Sprayway. I use CRC Brakeclean quite a bit, Evaporust for rusty parts that warrant the expense. good ol SOS Pads for Chrome etc. if its a rare resto part... I leave it alone and let the new owner risk ruining it!

·3 years agoWindex is the worst. Sprayaway blue/white can=streakless. Of course if there's oil remnants on the parts, you will have streaks no matter what.

·3 years agoFor glass, gloss paint, and chrome? Wet cloth and simple green to start with, and finish off with Windex and paper towels. Like you have always done I assume.
I assume those are the items you are talking about cleaning...
