I don't accept returns. Customer lied about receiving wrong item. My options?

Customer orders a rebuild kit for his water pump model P176. My listing is for rebuild kits

that fit pumps P1716C P1722C P1727C P1730C. Nothing in my listing says anything about a P176

model pump. (I sell old stock, damaged parts, no longer available items and usually 1 offs

meaning I have only the one item and wont be getting anymore.) So I have a no return

policy. I'm already selling this stuff at a heavy discount or loss is a better term. So I'm not

wanting to handle this a bunch of times. Take the time to take pictures, find a good description

Package it up and ship for free. Customer lied and said I sent the wrong item. He wanted P176.

This allows him to start a return. Ebay gives me two options. 1. Accept return

pay for another label, wait for part to arrive and refund customer. 2. Give partial or full

refund and let customer keep the item. Part of me wants to fight this, mostly because the customer

is blaming me for sending him the wrong item, and he lost out on $1000 charter. The nerve.

Here is a link to my listing......     https://www.ebay.com/itm/167190408746

I'm sure if I fight this eBay will be on customers side and then I get a bad mark. Too many bad marks

and I get sanctioned. Which btw if you don't sell 400 items in 3 months, they count bad marks

looking back last 12 months. So it takes you a year to get from out under sanctions. I think there

should be more emphasis on customer scammers. I hear all the time people saying how they

cleaned their old part and returned it getting full credit. Big sellers don't take the time to see whats

being returned. It goes on a pallet and auctioned off to highest bidder. I do not have an answer

or solution and mostly just venting I guess. Any helpful solution from experienced eBayers is

    welcomed and appreciated.

Since they filed an INAD, you only have a couple options.

You have to decide if you want it returned before refunding.

    @hotrodspee

You choices are - 1) send a return label and refund when you receive something. Then relist.

    2) refund and be done with it.

    3) do nothing and allow eBay to step in, refund the buyer, buyer keeps item, you still pay FVFs and get a seller defect on your account.

Accept the return and when the item arrives back, refund, and re-list it.
You can just go to the ended listing and click "relist".  No need to start again from scratch.
OR, just refund if you don't want the item back.

Those are your options.   Anything else will just prolong the refund and likely get you bad feedback.
It's eBay's sandbox,  That's just how it works.
    And, it stinks sometimes.
