Buyer is trying to scam me ?
What can I do if a buyer requests a refund on a part i sold and sends me a photo of a broken part that shows something totally different from what i sold him. I believe he needed a certain part from mine and wants to send back his broken piece . isn’t this what is called bait switch? Will ebay see that the photo he sent me does not match the item i sold him , I even tried to be nice and offered a partial refund for the total cost less shipping and he refused . do i wait and let ebay figure this out ?

·1 year agoI accepted a return, they asked for a second one sent so I agreed and then they closed the return since I was sending a second item without getting the first back, after they got the second one of the same item they wanted a refund still. They were just running a scam, complain, get another, and maybe get a refund too. Then they leave me bad feedback and there is zero I can do apparently.

Then deal with the rest later.

·1 year agoWhatever you do- letting 'ebay' figure it out basically means you are not going to deal with it so ebay will
1.) refund the buyer out of YOUR pocket
2.) DING you for you NOT taking care of your customer (do it a few more times, you won't be selling here any longer)

1) Buyer is always right
2) Seller is wrong
3) Dont sell anything you can't afford to lose
4) When in doubt, re read from #1
eBay has a wonderful money back guarantee for buyers. He probably bought what he needed, swapped parts, and its returning it back to you. If buyer filled an item not as described case, you need to decide to accept it or not, regardless, eBay will refund him no matter what. Depending on return shipping cost, you either refund after shipping, or just outright refund and let him keep item.
Sorry it happened but is nothing new.

Then you will be protected as a seller.
