Bogus sale?
I also received an email concerning the sale of a car. The verbiage of the sellers story was almost identical to the one sent to another prospective buyer. Unfortunately, I didn't check your listing to look for the vehicle until after I had sent my name, address, phone number, and email. Is there any way to report their email address they used? Or their Facebook?

·1 year agoActually, you're out nothing so just ignore, no reporting required to anyone since there is really nothing to report (to ICC, to FBI, to Craigslist, and of course, there would NEVER be anything to report to ebay)

·1 year agoYou might want to make note of the fact that eBay has no involvement in sale listings on any other site.
Those scammers assure you the sale will take place through eBay "for your protection".

·1 year agoAny of these car scams should be reported to the site you made the purchase on, and to your local legal authorities, the legal authorities in the seller's location and the FBI.
This does not involve Ebay.
