The app has a bad bug in it. It says to enter VIN or give my license plate, neither works.
I tried many times, using the two different ways to enter, trying both the VIN and the license plate number. Hopefully the programmers for the app will see this.

OP8 months agoFirst, I think it was eBay Motors app. I did some screen shots, if I can figure out how to send them. I have my Jeep entered into to regular eBay. But remembered eBay Motors app. So I was trying to enter it for the first time and got as far as saying it was a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Then a new screen came up and a separate box at the bottom said “Look up my Grand Cherokeeâ€. I clicked on that and another screen came up saying they could get its VIN number by my entering license plate number and state or by just my entering VIN. I entered my state, but then it wouldn’t let me enter license plate number. So I clicked then on Use VIN instead, but it didn’t give me a space to enter VIN number.

OP8 months agoCan’t figure out the picture part. So let me add that both methods were showing me a greyed out “Search†box when I expected to be allowed to enter license plate or be allowed to enter the VIN number. Perhaps the programmer meant to keep the “Search†smaller, letting have ability to type in the plate number or type in the VIN number.

·8 months agoApp issues can be reported to eBay by shaking your device while the app is active if that feature is enabled.
See if you can enter that info using a browser.
