Recently Viewed Items Notifications
Where do I turn off notifications for recently viewed items in the iPhone app? I am so tired of my phone buzzing and having it show me something I looked at and had no interest in buying. I don’t want to turn off all notifications, just recently viewed items. It’s infuriating.

·2 years agoI just had a chat with support about this.
Given I have long-ago disabled all the nonsense default notifications for both Buyer and Seller, as well as general marketing (and yes I checked all of them again to make sure nothing new was snuck in there), it is my educated guess that eBay made the dumb decision to recently add this notification type for "Recently Viewed" and push it out to everyone without also offering a way to opt-out.
This is absolutely infuriating both as a buyer and especially as a seller where a notification generally means I have to act on something.

It's maddening...I haven't found a way to opt out of it either, as there are several buyer notifications I would like to keep in place. Sometimes I see chances to leave feedback for ebay services. Maybe we can tell them how we feel, and maybe eventually they'll change it? All we can do is try...
