·2 weeks ago · EditedI just made a discovery. The new update had changed my saved searches to “Best match”.
I had to I unsave them and change to “new items” and then re-save them and they now appear to be functioning properly.
Also, other searches that I type in the search bar are still coming back as no results unless I change from “best match” to “new items”.

·2 weeks agoI was relieved to see an update for the mobile app, BUT IT DIDN’T SOLVE THE PROBLEM! I still can’t use search, just getting “no exact matches found” An optimistic soul, I once again tried deleting and re-loading the 6.271.0 app, but to no avail… this is getting old!

OP2 weeks agolol ... maybe I need to set up an altar and do the same! It's just good to know I'm not alone in my misery. I agree - this has to be a bug that's the product of a recent update and will likely have to be resolved with another update! By the way - I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro Max...not sure of OS, but it's up to date. I thought about reinstalling app, but good to know that does nothing helpful.

·2 weeks agoIm having the same issue. But only on my iPad. iPhone still works properly.
If the search function doesn't work, the app is useless.

OP2 weeks agoInteresting. It's my iPhone that's exhibiting the fault via the mobile app. My iMac desktop via the website seems to work as usual. I'm not crazy then and it's assuring to know others are experiencing the same. I do agree - this search dysfunction, if not remedied, will make the app useless. Surely it's some bug that's resulted from an internal update and eBay will resolve it soon.

·2 weeks agoThis search problem is going to TANK eBay if they don’t get it fixed and quickly…. It is a complete nightmare and makes it impossible for buyers to find anything. I’ve heard it has to do with their Live feature, but I don’t know. All I know is it will be the end of eBay if the problem isn’t corrected. Mark my words. And eBay, no gaslighting comments about its wonderful functionality. This is disastrous.

OP2 weeks agoAgreed! I noticed problem yesterday. I have a few saved searches that I check daily. But, now, when I click on them, the search function isn't working correctly. It seems to be the mobile app only, which is unfortunate. I actually use mobile app more than website. The website search function seems to be working correctly, however. I hadn't heard about the effects of the Live feature...thanks for the insight!
