Listing Starting With Pictures

I created an account a little less than a year ago to sell some sports cards. To list, ebay had me upload a couple of pictures and would autofill what the item was and auto-generated a title (of course, it was often wrong and I had to manually make some changes). It was super helpful and allowed me to list cards accurately and quickly.

Today, it just randomly switched to having me input the title first and then uploading my pictures. Is there any way to switch it back? It takes much longer to list cards now than it used to.

It sounds like eBay may have changed the listing flow on your account. They’ve been testing different listing experiences, so you may have been moved to a different version.

I’d try listing from the eBay app and Seller Hub first to see if the photo-first option is still available. If it’s gone everywhere, it may be an account-level change or test that you can’t switch back yourself.

If your main goal is to speed up listing, you could also look at a third-party listing tool like 3Dsellers. It gives you more control over creating and managing eBay listings, which might help if you’re listing a lot of cards.

You could also contact eBay Support and ask if the photo-based listing feature is still available on your account.

You can only list from photos on the app when you're using the simplified listing tool, not the business listing tool. You cannot use the simplified listing tool on the app if you are using business policies or Seller Hub.

You have to switch tools on the web, then the change will translate to the app. To make the switch:

Close out the app.
Open a draft on the website (you can do this from you're phone's browser).
When you advance to the screen where you enter your specifics and description, on the top right click the 3 dot menu then select "switch to quick listing tool."
Save the draft and exit.
Re-open the app. You should now be switched over to the simplified listing tool and the camera icon to list from photo feature should be restored.

Did you happen to figure this out? I upgraded to a store today and it did this to me. Making me regret ever switching to a subscription as its easily 4x as long to list.
