iPhone eBay app crashes while taking photos for a new listing
This happens at least once every 4th or 5th listing I am creating. I saw a post from 18 months ago about this, but that post is not taking new comments. When adding photos, I will notice that each photo slows down until the whole app crashes and none of the photos for that listing are saved. I can tell when it it coming due to the slow-down, but there is no way to avoid it. This causes huge losses of time, and I don't have a lot of time, anyway. Is there a fix for this?

·6 months agoAre you still having the same problem? I'm in Australia, it's 2026, and I'm having exactly the same problem - I'm on the app taking photos for a listing, it slows down, then there's a white screen, it crashes, and when you open the listing again all the photos you just took have gone. I'm a seller that does 15-24 photos for each listing so my buyers can see exactly what they're buying, and that takes time. I work between my laptop as it's easier to type out the description, and then move to the app to do the photos. It's very frustrating when you set aside a day to do listings, get your items ready, set up a photo area, have everything ready in a production line and then the app crashes. I tried clearing the cache on my iPhone, and it didn't really make any difference as the problem was back within half and hour. I now just do five listings at a time to avoid the frustration but it still happens, so I'm listing and selling less because of this problem. I'm on version 6.249.0.1 that has 'shake to report' that I didn't know about, so I'm going to update the latest version 6.250.0 that came up on the App Store 6 hours ago and see what happens.
