Why are there software updates? Sometimes it is because the older versions are no longer up to the necessary security standards, and are deemed vulnerable or insecure. Not everything can be backwards compatible, forever.
If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.
If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

OP1 year agoI guess I’ll just have to put up with not having the app. I can g get eBay on the website using the browser but it’s a poor substitute
